A CHP-unit
is a power-generator which converts the fuel energy into electrical and thermal energy.
There is an electrical power generator and a boiler system in one unit which consists of many different components. My work covers the complete cogeneration plant (CHP) in accordance to the German DIN 6280-14.
Broadly divided it involves the following technical areas:
- Engine technology (gas engine, diesel engine, gas turbine)
- Electrical technology
- Heating technology
- Control engineering
- Ventilation technology
- Basic engineering (strength, dynamics, acoustics, e.g.)
